Plumas and Sierra Counties

Both Plumas and Sierra counties are located north of Truckee in the Sierra Nevada mountains, each having extremely beautiful vistas, low populations and great access to all types of recreation, which make them a wonderful place to live or vacation all year round. Lakes, rivers, mountains all within 1000’s of square miles of National Forest create the perfect outdoor recreation area. Both these counties also have historical areas shaped by farming, ranching, railroads and gold mining in the early years of California. Sierra county is rich with unspoiled beauty and a population density of 4 people per square mile.
